HOW DOES POLITICS CONTRIBUTE TO CRIME?

When it comes to politics, it is a form of government that encompasses all aspects of societal advancement, such as the economy, education, and health care. Politics affects every aspect of society because it determines what, when, and how a society operates; in other words, it reshapes people's lives. For example, in a democratic state, people make free decisions and speak freely, whereas in an authoritarian state, people do not.
Starting with the evolution of crime and progressing through the changes in British society, such as British Industrialization and Urbanization, the French society has likewise gone through the French Revolution.
These two phenomena cause a lot of crime, especially in British society where industry occurs; industrialization is tied to modern capitalism because it is about the "proletariat" and "bourgeoisie." People began to use machines instead of personnel, which resulted in unemployment, which is one of the reasons of crime.
Politics, as previously stated, is the art of ruling, as it evolves around all parts of life, including economics, education, and policymaking for the people's well-being. Failure to do so efficiently has resulted in a slew of societal issues, including unemployment, uneven rights, and illiteracy, all of which contribute to crimes like kidnapping, Internet fraud, banditry, and other sorts of crime.
As a result, critical thought is required while designing a society's political strategy and also when appointing someone to oversee political affairs because it affects our way of life.

I think any sane Criminologist who just read through this thought-provoking article and skip it away without leaving a comment, has done a great disservice to the Criminology profession.
Politics to me is a key that locks and unlocks crime and criminal activities in all ramifications. In one of my Lectures at Matropol Intelligence Academy Abuja Nigeria, a new criminological ideology came into my mind, "Dino-Olisa-Orubebelism." Let me explain briefly. In Nigeria, corruption especially financial misappropriation or embezzlement is a major crime ravaging the political scenes, ministries, departments and agencies of government. Unfortunately, cases involving corruption is not a serious offence. One may steal billions of naira belonging to the public for developmental purposes. Upon apprehension and arraignment to court, he will use part of this money and hire thousands of lawyers, most of whom are Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN), who are regarded as legal mini gods, a kind of superhumans! The judgement after long time adjournments will just be like, "Mr. Man, please pay us the tithe of your loot and walk away, please". It is hard for rich men to go to jail in this part of the world. Bail is reserved for them while JAIL is exclusively reserved for the poor for just stealing a loaf of bread! In some cases when the court don't want to entertain the case so that people will understand the extent of the criminality, the corrupt lawyers taking side with the big thief will either go and discuss with criminal medical practitioners and get backdated medical reports, showing that their client has acute-neurological-osteoporosis of the central nervous system which resulted to chronic-epidemological-elephantiasis cum spinal inflammatory disorder. The judge upon hearing such mind-blowing medical jargon will just screamed and say, you're hereby granted bail for urgent medical care after which you will come and continue with your trial. The lawyer to the accused will just echo, thanks my Lord and quickly take his client away and that ends the who matter. Recently, a new tactics just evolved. One notorious public servant was brought to court to answer questions on his involvement in billions of naira embezzlement. His team of lawyers had tutored him never to say even one word. Immediately he was asked a question, he was looking at the man asking him the question like a sheep. After some minutes, he just slumped from the wheelchair where he was brought in and feigned sickness and unconscious. His supporters quickly raised great alarm that he has died oooo. Everywhere was roudy and chaotic as they quickly grabbed him and rushed to unknown hospital where he was flown abroad and that ends the matter. Often times you see the big criminals been brought to court in a wheelbarrow with bandages in their necks and waist. I look forward to seeing a day that Dino-Olisa-Orubebelism will be elevated to a Criminology theory in Nigeria. The political class has all it takes to make or mar the society and I believe that developmental Criminology should be given priority especially in Africa because we are living with monsters and not necessarily leaders.

THE MISMANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES BY THE NIGERIA POLICE

The news that surfaced in Nigerian media a few weeks ago about the loss of rifles and ammunition from the Nigeria Police Force's (NPF) Armory division is extremely distressing because no traces or locations for the arms have been discovered. A security agency tasked with safeguarding people's lives and property has failed to safeguard the assets under its control! So, how do we refer to this situation? ... Even though the arms were declared to be unusable and expired, I referred to it as responsible irresponsibility. Also, so-called "expired" guns cannot be guaranteed to not discharge. The Nigeria Police Force is a well-organized security force, but it has failed to account for 178,459 guns. According to the Armory Section of the Police, there have been 88,078 AK-47 rifles and 3,907 miscellaneous rifles and pistols among various police formations since December of 2018. Not only that, as of January 2020, the missing weaponry and ammo are still unknown. The agency'...

CRIME HIGHNESS; The need for IT knowledge

CRIMINOLOGY as a discipline under sociology is nothing but the study of crime in a scientific way/application of science in studying crime. C rime science involves the application of scientific methodologies to prevent or reduce social disorder and find better ways to prevent, detect, and solve crimes  all see crime as the part and parcel of every society, the study of crime is just not about post-crime actions but also pre-crime measures and the two has been in process since the development of criminology as a course. From the knowledge in criminology what constitutes a crime is nixed because of different views of scholars, these views majorly talk about  time, place (society) . The progression of crime into cyberspace brings about cyber criminology  which is  the study of the causation of crimes that occur in cyberspace and their impact on the physical space  as a sub-discipline of criminology whose founder is the developer of space transition theory P...
