HOW DOES POLITICS CONTRIBUTE TO CRIME?

When it comes to politics, it is a form of government that encompasses all aspects of societal advancement, such as the economy, education, and health care. Politics affects every aspect of society because it determines what, when, and how a society operates; in other words, it reshapes people's lives. For example, in a democratic state, people make free decisions and speak freely, whereas in an authoritarian state, people do not. Starting with the evolution of crime and progressing through the changes in British society, such as British Industrialization and Urbanization, the French society has likewise gone through the French Revolution. These two phenomena cause a lot of crime, especially in British society where industry occurs; industrialization is tied to modern capitalism because it is about the "proletariat" and "bourgeoisie." People began to use machines instead of personnel, which resulted in unemployment, which is one of the reasons of crime. THE MISMANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES BY THE NIGERIA POLICE

The news that surfaced in Nigerian media a few weeks ago about the loss of rifles and ammunition from the Nigeria Police Force's (NPF) Armory division is extremely distressing because no traces or locations for the arms have been discovered. A security agency tasked with safeguarding people's lives and property has failed to safeguard the assets under its control! So, how do we refer to this situation? ... Even though the arms were declared to be unusable and expired, I referred to it as responsible irresponsibility. Also, so-called "expired" guns cannot be guaranteed to not discharge. The Nigeria Police Force is a well-organized security force, but it has failed to account for 178,459 guns. According to the Armory Section of the Police, there have been 88,078 AK-47 rifles and 3,907 miscellaneous rifles and pistols among various police formations since December of 2018. Not only that, as of January 2020, the missing weaponry and ammo are still unknown. The agency'...

CRIME AS A DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD

In a simple definition crime is the violation of criminal law; the term however has deffer from one place, time to another. For example, what constitutes a crime in Nigeria might not be in the Gambia, Ghana, or United States although some acts are globally accepted as crimes, this act includes Rape, Murder. Despite the fact that those acts are globally accepted as crimes, crime doesn't have a global meaning/definition. Scholars like Paul Tappan,  Lanier and Henry, and others try to define crime in their own context. According to (Lanier and Henry, 2001)  Crime is  an intentional act in violation of the criminal law committed without defense or excuse  and penalized by the state as a felony or misdemeanor. Paul Tappan also defines crime  as “an intentional act or omission in violation of criminal law …, committed without defense or justification, and sanctioned by the state as a felony or misdemeanor.” The two definitions all talk about the violation of crim...

CRIME HIGHNESS; The need for IT knowledge

CRIMINOLOGY as a discipline under sociology is nothing but the study of crime in a scientific way/application of science in studying crime. C rime science involves the application of scientific methodologies to prevent or reduce social disorder and find better ways to prevent, detect, and solve crimes  all see crime as the part and parcel of every society, the study of crime is just not about post-crime actions but also pre-crime measures and the two has been in process since the development of criminology as a course. From the knowledge in criminology what constitutes a crime is nixed because of different views of scholars, these views majorly talk about  time, place (society) . The progression of crime into cyberspace brings about cyber criminology  which is  the study of the causation of crimes that occur in cyberspace and their impact on the physical space  as a sub-discipline of criminology whose founder is the developer of space transition theory P...
